ParallaxLove

Parallax Love, 2019. Acrylic, aluminum, steel; 80″h x 50″w x 2″

Parallax Love encourages us to contemplate our limited human capacity to comprehend multiple perspectives and to open up to broader ways of seeing. The definition of a parallax is “the effect whereby the position or direction of an object appears to differ when viewed from different positions”. We are encouraged to explore different experiences of the sculpture from different viewpoints and contemplate the subjectivity of our perceptions. Parallax Love also offers hope through the common ground of seeing love in the form of x’s and o’s cut out from each side.

  1. I am not sure how to reach you but I discovered your parallax introvert sculpture today in Oak Bay/Victoria. It really stopped me in my tracks! I wonder what the last word is on the extravert side… 0000PS?
